H3 Informatics Team Receives AMIA “Distinguished Poster Award”
On November 6th, the Healthy Hearts in the Heartland (H3) informatics team presented two posters at the American Medical Informatics Association Annual Symposium in Washington D.C.
The posters described the work of the collective H3 teams on the acquisition, transformation, validation, and use of EHR data to measure progress on the Aspirin, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Smoking Cessation (ABCS) quality measures at H3 practices. They highlighted technical challenges to acquire data, as well as the importance of practice facilitators in quality improvement initiatives. The poster led by Luke Rasmussen, Northwestern University Clinical Research Associate, was one of only seven to receive a Distinguished Poster Award from the AMIA Scientific Program Committee.
Congrats to Luke and the H3 informatics team!
