Results from a poll at our recent 2021 Promoting Interoperability Program Updates webinar show that the most challenging Stage 3 objectives are Coordination of Care through Patient Engagement, Health Information Exchange, and Public Health Reporting. Each of these objectives has multiple associated measures, and providers must attest to exceeding compliance thresholds on at least two.

Monitoring performance on a regular basis, with targeted interventions for providers falling below goal, is essential to achieving Stage 3 compliance and earning incentives.
