Closing the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program: Looking Back and Looking Ahead

From 2011 to 2021, Medicaid providers throughout Illinois took the leap with certified EHR. From adopt, implement, or upgrade to Stage 1 through Stage 3, our community has taken great strides with “meaningful use” of these technologies. And although the program is coming to a close, a number of state and national initiatives carry forward the vision of interoperable data and improved outcomes for patients.
