Reviewing the 2022 QPP Final Rule

On November 2, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2022 Quality Payment Program (QPP) final rule focused primarily on policies for MIPS Value Pathways (MVP) as a driver of meaningful participation paths for clinicians and improved patient outcomes. Additional modifications include establishing participation options for clinician subgroups, changes in scoring processes and thresholds, updates in available measures and activities, and adjustments to the Alternative Payment Model (APM) and APM Performance Pathway (APP).
