CHITREC & Quality Improvement Organization partner to provide assistance and incentives
We are excited to announce that IFMC-IL, our state’s Medicare Quality improvement Organization, is partnering with the REC to assist you in maximizing the use of your electronic health record (EHR) system for quality reporting and improvement. They have formed a Learning and Action Network (LAN) to help you provide better patient care, better population health and lower health care costs.
Your investment in an EHR demonstrates your commitment to quality and understanding of how health information technology can significantly impact patient care delivery. Through the LAN, participating physician practices will receive assistance in enhancing meaningful use of their EHR for clinical decision support and clinical quality improvement. This will be accomplished through benchmarking, reporting and interpreting EHR derived data to track and improve population health and improved utilization of preventive services. You will also gain access to evidence-based best practices, community educational programming and intervention tools.
By joining the LAN, these tools, resources and assistance are available to you at no cost. You will learn from peers who are working on the same quality challenges, as well as from a faculty of clinical experts. Participation will be coordinated with the efforts of CHITREC to minimize demands on your time and resources.
